William T. Walker, CFPIM, CIRM, CSCP

is a supply chain architect, author, and practitioner.  His 35 years of experience with Hewlett-Packard, Agilent Technologies, and Siemens Building Technologies includes accomplishments in product design, manufacturing, project management, product marketing, purchasing, supplier management, materials management, outsourcing, network architecture, cost reduction, logistics, ERP conversion, asset management, and distribution.  Bill has designed, operated, and optimized supply chain networks around the world.  He is the author of several books including, Supply Chain Architecture, and the designer of seminars covering the principles of supply chain management which he has taught in Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, the United States, Mexico, Scotland, Holland, Germany, and South Africa. He has taught seminars for the Center for Competitive Change at the University of Dayton.  Bill introduced advanced supply chain management logistics and network infrastructure topics into APICS courseware.  He is a past President of the APICS Educational & Research Foundation and a past APICS Vice President of Education-SIGs for Aerospace & Defense, Small Manufacturing, Repetitive Manufacturing, Remanufacturing, Process Industry, and Textile/ Apparel.  He holds BSEE and MSIE degrees from Lehigh University.  Bill is a Certified Fellow in Production and Inventory Management, Certified in Integrated Resource Management, a Certifed Supply Chain Professional, a 25 year member of APICS, and a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
